Day 1 – Bucharest
Arrival at Otopeni International Airport; meet and greet – transfer to hotel; walking guided discovery tour and dinner (if flight schedule permits).
Day 2 – Bucuresti – Sinaia – Bran – Brasov (240 km)
After breakfast, city tour of the capital, incl. famous open air Village Museum or People’s House (the 2nd largest building after the Pentagon); departure to Sinaia resort, across the Carpathian Mountains; visit the famous Peles Castle, the former residence of royal families or (if it’s closed) Sinaia Monastery (1695) (time for lunch); drive to Bran to visit Drakula’s Castle; continue to Brasov (former Kronstadt); walking tour to visit the old center, including the Black Church; dinner in a typical restaurant and accommodation.
Day 3 – Brasov – Bicaz Gorges – P. Neamt (340 km)
After breakfast, departure towards the spectacular Bicaz Gorges/Red lake (time for lunch); visit the beautiful monasteries of Neamt county – VARATEC, AGAPIA (with its carpet and icon workshops); dinner and accommodation in P.Neamt.
Day 4 – Bukovina area / painted monasteries (UNESCO) (140 km)
Breakfast; departure to Bukovina area to visit the monasteries, with exterior frescoes (MOLDOVITA, SUCEVITA, HUMOR) and unique monastery VORONET, “the Sistine chapel of the Orient” (time for lunch); dinner and accommodation in G.Humor/ Suceava.
Day 5 – G.Humor/Suceava – Bacau – Bucharest ( 490 km)
Drive to Bucharest, known as “little Paris” (time for lunch); farewell dinner and accommodation.
As per flight schedule, individual visit / shopping time in Bucharest, followed by transfer to airport.
